Notes on remembering a dream, keeping a journal, and looking back at the night as a photograph. For the morning you still have a little of it.
These notes are for the morning after. A few minutes with a dream, written down while it's still warm, is often the difference between keeping it and watching it go. The pieces here are about that quiet work: how to remember more of the night, how to keep a journal you'll actually open, and how a photograph of the scene can help you return to it later.
You don't need a system. A sentence on your phone, a detail you almost skipped, a feeling that doesn't yet have a name — that's enough to start. Dreamala is built around that first note: you write what you remember, we ask a few clarifying questions, and a photograph develops from the scene. The writing here sits beside the app, not in place of it.
Browse the guides below when you have a spare moment. Some are practical, about keeping a journal or remembering more of a dream. Some are about looking at a photograph of a night you would otherwise lose. Take what helps and leave the rest. There's no curriculum, and nothing here is in a hurry. Come back the next morning if you want; the notes will still be here.
