What is Dreamala?
Dreamala is a dream journal. You write down a dream, and the app develops a realistic photograph of the scene so you can look at it later. Your dreams stay in a private archive you can search.
How do I get started?
Simply download the app and press "Get Started". You can create a free account using your Apple account, Google account, or email address.
Do I need to remember my dream perfectly?
No. A few sentences are enough. Dreamala asks optional questions about details you might have forgotten, and the photograph develops from what you can say.
How soon should I log my dream?
Dreams fade quickly after waking. For best results, log your dream as soon as you remember it, ideally within a few minutes of waking.

How do I log a dream?
Tap the + button and describe the dream. Dreamala may ask a few optional questions before it develops the photograph.
Can I write my dreams in my own language?
Yes. The Dreamala app itself is in English for now, but your dreams don't have to be — describe a dream in any of 29 languages and everything else follows along. The title, the tags and the clarification questions all come back in the language you wrote in, and your photograph is made exactly as it would be in English.
Which languages can I write my dreams in?
Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu and Vietnamese. There's no language to choose anywhere — just write, and Dreamala follows the language you wrote in. If yours isn't on the list you're still welcome to write in it: your words are kept exactly as you wrote them, and the title, tags and questions come back in English.
Can I edit my dream later?
Yes. You can edit or delete any dream you've logged at any time.
Are dreams searchable?
Yes. Dreamala allows you to search your dream archive by keywords, tags, and dream elements so you can easily rediscover past dreams.
Dream Photos
How does a dream become a photograph?
You write the dream and, if you want, answer a few questions. Dreamala develops a realistic photograph from what you said. Add a few details about how you look, and the person in the photograph can resemble you.
Why do you call them photographs?
Because that's what they are. Dreamala develops a realistic photograph of the scene you described, and the archive is a record of those nights.
Can one dream have more than one photograph?
On the paid plan, yes. One dream can hold more than one photograph, so you can look at different versions of the same night. On the free plan, each dream keeps one photograph.
Why doesn't the photograph match my dream exactly?
A photograph is an interpretation of what you wrote, not a recording of the night. The more you can say about the scene, the closer it tends to come.
Plans & Pricing
Is Dreamala free?
Yes. You can log as many dreams as you like on a free account, and develop up to 3 photographs in every four-week period.
What does the paid plan include?
Dreamala Pro gives you more photographs, lets you hide the Dreamala watermark if you want, and lets you edit titles and tags. The watermark stays until you turn it off in Settings. You can also lock and hide individual dreams behind a passcode you choose. You pick which dreams.
Is there a limit on photographs?
The paid plan has a much larger allowance. It's enough to develop a photograph for the dreams you write, with a fair-use limit so the service can keep running. The app shows what you have left.
Sharing
Can I share my dream photos?
Yes. You can share a photograph from the app. On the free plan, the photograph includes a small Dreamala watermark. On Dreamala Pro, that watermark stays until you choose to hide it.
Are my dreams public?
No. Dreams are private unless you share a photograph.
Privacy & Data
Who can see my dreams?
Your dreams are private and visible only to you. Dream descriptions are stored securely and are not shared with other users.
Is my dream data secure?
Your dreams travel over an encrypted connection and are stored on servers in the EU. The database enforces, per row, that only your own account can read them, and photographs sit in private storage reachable only through short-lived links issued to you.
Do you use my dreams to train your own systems?
No. We don't use your dreams to train our own systems. The privacy policy says what reaches the services that help develop photographs, and what those services may do with it.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Settings → Delete account removes your account, your dreams and your photographs. You can also take a copy of everything first — Settings → Your data sends you a download link.
Account & Support
How do I delete my account?
You can request account deletion through the app or by contacting support using the contact form. Once confirmed, your account and associated data will be permanently deleted.
I can't sign in to my account.
Check that you're using the correct login method (Apple, Google, or email). If you signed up with email, you may need to verify your address before signing in.
